The kids were in the crib while I was strapped with a baby to my back. Ha! The whole thing started to be clear, but wasn't quite done. In this undertaking I was ready to shell out a substantial amount of money and spend time looking for my dream house. To stay on budget I started going to estate sales along with my three boys searching for gems hidden in the dirt. The routine we had for the week was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through estate sales and garage sales buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. It was a bit like the picture below... This was where my passion for the restoration of furniture first began. Even though our home was fully equipped, I couldn't quit. I rented a booth at the local market and sold pieces there. It was possible to expand my space because I owned plenty of pieces that I could use. More than 1000 people came to my home in just one weekend, to shop for everything on the ground floor. Growing Days was founded in my own home. My company was flourishing, but my family was also expanding. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wanted to be a mom as well as a business owner who was successful. Growing Days fit perfectly. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora joined our 4th kiddo. I loved where my business was heading but I needed to take a breather. I took a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and slowed down my pace and stayed at home to take care of the kids. It was the right time. After a few months that my phone began to call. They wanted my help in interior decoration and home renovations. These people had mostly been to my home during open houses that were held for furniture. It didn't seem long until I was managing a full-scale house renovation business. The first step was to take clients one by one with a speed I was confident in. When I first heard about my home renovation business I was astonished. Actually, I smile a little when I remember the episode.
